Christine Pelosi

Attorney, author and activist, Pelosi has over 30 years of grassroots experience in voter contact, education and mobilization in local, state and federal efforts. Since 1996, she has chaired the California Democratic Party Platform Committee and served as an elected Democratic National Committee member, where she co-founded the DNC Veterans and Military Families Council.
She has worked in public policy and politics for over a dozen years, serving as Executive Director of the California Democratic Party; Deputy City Attorney and Assistant District Attorney for the City of San Francisco; and U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Special Counsel in the Clinton Administration; and Chief of Staff to U.S. Rep. John F. Tierney (MA-06). Her forthcoming grassroots leadership book, Campaign Boot Camp, emerged from her work as Director of the AFSCME PEOPLE/New House PAC 2006 Congressional Candidates Boot Camp, 12 of whose alums are now Members of Congress. Pelosi holds a J.D. from the University of California Hastings College of the Law, and a B.S.F.S. from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service.
